A lot of these are just concepts and ideas. I’ve been trying different styles and techniques, though I know the illustrations would ultimately be black and white.
Final illustrations will be created by layering character art over original photos. I want them to have a jarring semi-realism that adds to the weird happenings of the story. The illustrations within the final novel will be grey-scale like these samples below. Additional ones will be included within the manuscript as well as art notes for where others will be later on.
