Q: Where can I buy your books (Other Boys & Absolutely Everything)?

A: Other Boys is available at many online retailers. You can also check your local independent book store or comic shop to see if it’s in stock or available to order from them. You can also request your local library to purchase a copy if it’s not currently available.

Q: When did you start drawing?

A: I started drawing sometime around kindergarten after watching my grandfather drawing at our kitchen table. My grandparents always encouraged me to draw.

Q: What supplies do you use to create your art?

A: I work in a lot of mediums, using various materials. When drawing traditionally I tend to paint with watercolor or acrylics and use Faber Castell pens for inking. When drawing digitally I usually use Procreate. As a teenager I really loved colored pencils.

Q: Where did you go to school?

A: I received an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Q: Why did you write Other Boys?

A: I created Other Boys for my twelve-year-old self and for other kids out there who felt like I had growing up.

Q: Are you currently working on any books?

A: I am currently working on a companion to Other Boys titled Hand-Me-Down, as well as a few other projects.
