Q: Where can I buy your books (like Other Boys)?

A: Other Boys is available wherever books are sold and at most online retailers. You can also check out your local independent book store to see if it’s in stock or available to order.

Q: When did you start drawing?

A: I started drawing sometime around kindergarten, and never stopped!

Q: Where did you go to school?

A: I received my MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.

Q: Do you need to go to art school to be an artist?

A: No, there are many determined artists who have managed to break into their desired industries through social media! Though college/university can be helpful if you’re unsure of the direction you’d like to go in and would like to make connections.

Q: What do you use to create your art?

A: I work in a lot of mediums, using various materials. When working traditionally I tend to paint with watercolor and use ink with Faber Castell pens for outlining. When working digitally I use a mix of Procreate and Adobe Photoshop.

Q: Why did you write Other Boys?

A: I created Other Boys for my twelve-year-old self, when I realized there may be other kids out there who felt like I had growing up.
