This clip is from my book Hand-Me-Down by the way~ you can buy it wherever or borrow it from your local library. 📚 I used to love shopping for school supplies but then I wanted to throw up on the first day of school. You can't hurt me, I've been on the internet since sixth grade. Hand-Me-Down came to me in little thoughts and memories and this was one of the first ones I scribbled down in the earliest stages of working on this book. I kept rolling the word "parents" around in my mouth after someone referred to theirs and realized how odd the word felt coming out of my mouth. The more I said it each letter started to break away and separate until it didn't feel like a word at all. Anyway... it's been a bit weird trying to promote this book because it's so deeply personal to me and anytime I try to think up a way to share it with others because I would like it to perform well, I just find myself kind of lost. #graphicnovels #comics #comicstrip #grief #comicartist #illustration #artist
